Meets on the Second Friday of each month

Usually meet at the start of each walk, but transport pick-ups are arranged

How many members: 40 (approx.)

Max size: No limit, but probably a max of 15 on any one walk

Waiting list: No

We undertake walks of about 6-7 miles, uphill and down dale, sometimes on hilly, muddy and stony terrain within an hour or so drive of Wilmslow - Peak District, Cheshire Hills, Lancashire Hills. Boots or stout shoes are pretty much mandatory.

We generally try and take lunch at a hostelry on the route, sometimes at the end.

Occasionally no facilities are available, in which case a packed lunch is in order.

The group relies on its members to lead walks each month.
The convenor will circulate a calendar on a regular basis requesting members to sign up for vacant months .
If no one volunteers there will be no walk .
Please remember that each member is responsible for their own safety . The leader’s role on the day is just to show the route.

Walks are arranged by email, usually on the Monday before the walk. Please contact David Lederer if you would like to be added to the mailing list to receive details.
